A field of fluorescent cells under microscopy

CIRRA · Current research

What CIRRA is working on now.

CIRRA's current research is anchored in a concrete scientific problem: circRNA discovery and prioritisation. The deeper mechanistic reasoning architecture matures alongside this work.

Research

In active development. No validated results yet.

Research areas

Where CIRRA is focused today.

Each area has a defined maturity state. We do not present research as production capability.

  1. circRNA discovery and prioritisation

    Prototype
The initial concrete problem. Candidate data → identity normalisation → evidence enrichment → biological assessment → experimental-readiness assessment → explainable ranking → researcher review → validation decision.
  2. Disease-context validation

    Research
Validation against disease cohorts, transcriptomic data, and wet-lab partnerships.
  3. Evidence integration

    Prototype
Aggregating published literature, structured biological knowledge, and internal transcriptomic data into a unified evidence substrate.
  4. Explainable ranking with provenance

    Prototype
Every recommendation is presented alongside the evidence that supports it, so scientists can inspect, question, and reproduce each conclusion.
  5. Uncertainty and calibration

    Research
CIRRA distinguishes between observed, inferred, supported, contradicted, and abstaining states. Beliefs are calibrated, not asserted.
  6. Mechanistic reasoning

    Research
Long-term research direction. Deliberative mechanism search, competing interpretations, and active validation.

What is uncertain

What we do not yet know.

Scientific trust is part of the architecture.

CIRRA's current limitations are documented, not hidden.

  1. Generalisation beyond circRNA.

The current implementation is anchored in circRNA. Extension to other RNA species, proteins, or multi-omics is a research direction, not a current capability.
  2. Clinical translation.

CIRRA is a research platform. It does not provide clinical diagnostics, therapeutic recommendations, or regulatory submissions.
  3. Mechanistic reasoning depth.

The current ranking system is explainable and provenance-aware. Deeper mechanistic reasoning — competing mechanisms, active validation — is under development.
  4. Validation breadth.

Current validation is focused on initial disease cohorts. Broader validation across disease contexts is a research priority.
